The Miracle League provides physically and mentally challenged children a safe and spirited program in which they can hit, run, and catch on a baseball field. Children aged four and up are welcome. The Miracle League of San Diego is a place where every player plays in the field, every player hits, every player gets on base, every player scores, and every player wins – every inning. Players who need help with hitting, catching or throwing the ball are paired with a "buddy" who provides encouragement and assistance as needed.
Miracle League Buddies are volunteers ranging in ages from elementary school to senior citizens. Buddies provide safety first, they enthusiastically play baseball with their special needs player and encourage them to have fun! They follow the "Buddy Pledge" and can receive community service credit.
Joining the Miracle League is easy. To sign up to play, be a buddy, coach or volunteer, click on the appropriate link below. Registration is easy and on-line. Checks and credit cards are accepted.
