Welcome to the Miracle League of San Diego.  Below is detailed information for families interested in having their child play baseball with the Miracle League.

Spring 2012 Season

Our Spring 2012 season will run from March 10th through May 19th. Games will be played on Saturdays beginning at 10:00 a.m.  Opening Day ceremonies on March 10th will begin at 10:00 a.m.

Player registration for our Spring 2012 season is now open.  The registration fee is $50 per player if you register by December 31, 2011. After January 1st, the registration fee is $75.  No child will be turned away because of an inability to pay.  If you cannot afford the registration fee, your child’s participation is made possible by generous donors.

Participants

The Miracle League of San Diego is dedicated to providing a safe and enjoyable baseball experience for children with mental or physical disabilities. We welcome girls and boys between the ages of 5 and 18, regardless of his or her previous experience or level of ability.

Teams

After the registration period ends, each player is assigned to a team.  Each team has three coaches, and each player is assigned a buddy for the season who provides encouragement and assists with hitting the ball and rounding the bases.

Several weeks before the season starts, you will be contacted by your coach who will provide more detailed information.  The list of teams and  game schedule are also available on our website a few weeks before the season starts.

If you or your company are interested in sponsoring a team, please download and print the form below.  As a team sponsor, you will receive your company’s name will be on the team uniforms and will be listed on our website and on our team sponsor banner displayed at the ball field.

Uniforms

All players will receive a baseball jersey and cap at opening day.  Players can wear any shoes except cleats, and can bring their own glove, if they have one.  Gloves, bats and balls are all provided.

Field and Directions

All games are played at Engel Family Field, a Little Padres Park, in San Dieguito Park in Del Mar. The park is located at 1628 Lomas Santa Fe Drive at the northeast corner of Lomas Santa Fe Drive and Highland Drive. Click here to see a map.

Parking

Parking is available near the field with an ADA accessible ramp from the lot to the right of the park entrance.  Daily parking is available for $3 or you may purchase an annual parking pass for $40 at the park’s entrance.  Drivers with Disabled Person Placards can park for free.  If you don’t have a placard but qualify as a disabled player, you can request a parking permit from a park ranger.
