Community

The Miracle League of San Diego has fostered a community of children, parents, volunteers, fans and sponsors who encourage and support one another both on the baseball field and off.

Following are additional resources that support our mission and promote the benefits of inclusion and diversity. If you have information or resources you would like to share, please contact us at info@miracleleagueofsandiego.org.

Kids Included Together

Kids Included Together (KIT) is a non-profit organization specializing in providing best practices training for community-based youth organizations committed to including children with disabilities into their existing recreational, social and child care programs. KIT provides training, technical assistance, site-specific training, and child-specific consultations to produce systemic change within the organization. The end result is an organization that has embraced the philosophy of inclusion and is ready and willing to accept all children, regardless of their abilities, into their programs.

Muscular Dystrophy Association

MDA is the nonprofit health agency dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by funding worldwide research. The Association also provides comprehensive health care and support services, advocacy and education.

Operation House Call
Operation House Call is requesting parents consider the opportunity to be paired with UCSD/Children’s Hospital pediatric residents.  This is an opportunity for pediatricians to learn about the unique experiences and challenges children with disabilities and their families encounter.  Parents know their child the best and can provide valuable insight to the issues better than any textbook every could!  The visit consists of an informal interview with the family that is scheduled at a mutually agreeable time with families.
